i was doing some webpath questions here and there and was wondering, how do these questions compare to some questions on step 1. Anyone know??

webpath questions were a lot more basic than the usmle step 1 questions. i used webpath a bit, and it was nice (for a confidence builder, if nothing else), but i would not rely on it. however, BRS path and Qbank are much more like what you will encounter on the real deal.

If you need a good source of path questions I suggest you get your hands on Robbin's Review of Pathology. The Qs were very similar to the real thing, and by itself the book is a great pathology review.

Robbin's is a great review book. The questions are similar to Step 1 in that they have long vignettes and some with pictures. The book has great detailed explanations, but some of the questions are rather hard.😱

Webpath, while a good resource (especially to use along with your pathology course in med school), is probably not the best choice for step 1 review. The questions are too short and the answers are not as detailed. For the USMLE, you need to get used to reading long questions really fast and picking out the correct answer and moving on.

The only thing Webpath was good for was looking at slides during the course. The questions weren't that great for class exams--forget about Step 1.
