website for average step score matched

Hi all,

Is there a website that shows the average step score matched for a specific specialty at x residency program or do I need to go to each individual program's website and look up this info? Im trying to fing the average step 1/2 scores that matched at vandy, UTHSCSA, and a few others for radiology and gas. Thanks for the replies guys. take care

No, there is no such source. Charting outcomes in the match i spublished on the NRMP website and lists the overall average step scores for each field, but not by program.

Yeah, to add on to that...not only is there not a source, it's information that is not available to applicants at least in all of the interviews I went to.

or better yet, if you don't have too many places to find that info, find the email addresses from the frieda website and email the places you wonder about and ask them directly. You can use a single email but bcc or cc all the addresses.

There is no organized collection of scores anywhere.

My 2 cents: I would just make a list of the schools you want to apply to. Then talk to your program's PD and/ or the dean to see if your expectations are realistic.

Change/ add programs according to their feedback.

Then apply. If you get an interview, then obviously, you were good enough on paper.

I know this is almost a cop out type of response. But it takes a lot of effort in doing all the research for ea school you are thinking of applying to - in determining if the program is something you want to expend the energy/ money applying to and interviewing at. Adding researching avg step scores is just one more thing, and may even be counterproductive.
