I was wondering if most dental students have to spend holidays and weekends at their dental school. I imagine you don't have to too much 1st and 2nd years but I may be wrong...

At my school you can do whatever you want with your free time. Lately for Board study we've had multiple half-days in conjunction with entire days off. Many classmates (myself included) have used this time to fly home for extended weekends, to go to Mexican beaches, to drive to San Diego or Vegas, etc.

glad you are enjoying you are enjoying yourself. san diego must be nice, but man vegas?
i was 115 degrees a week ago when i was there.
