So Case Western sends me this email:

"The Committee on Admissions has reviewed your application, and it is their collective decision that your application be placed in "Hold" until we receive your official transcripts reflecting your grades for the Fall 2011 semester/quarter. This means that the Committee will give further consideration to your application after we have reviewed these grades. Please email us at [email protected] when you have completed your “Academic Update” on AADSAS."

1) I am graduated
2) Fall 2011 isn't over yet
3) Is this a rejection in disguise?

I think you should call them and ask. It might be that they think you haven't completed your pre-reqs. Hopefully, it's just an administrative glitch.

I don't think this is a rejection in disguise. I received the same type of e-mail but from Tufts University. I e-mailed them back letting them know the classes (not pre-reqs) I am currently taking and my plan to take more classes next semester. I also told them I would submit my grades as soon as fall semester ends. Two weeks later I received an invite for an interview. So don't give up hope.

Give admission office a call. They'll put you on hold for half an hour, but at least you'll get clarification right away.

As far as I can tell, this is not a rejection, so definately don't loose hope.

Take care and good luck,
