Hi, my friend was looking at the dental school site for UIC and he was looking at the average GPAs for the entering classes. He noticed that they do the gpa scale for example like 4.25/5.00. What does that mean? How does that translate to a regular 4.0 gpa scale?

Honors? Look up their website and see if there is a section on the registar's page that explains their grading system. If all else fails, call their admissions office for clarification.
