Hi all

I have a bit of a weird situation. I enrolled in a class, but toward the end of the quarter, I realized I'm not getting credit for it for a reason. The class is listed on my transcript and it says no credit awarded underneath the class.
Am I better off dropping the class? Would AMCAS count it even if the university is not? If I drop I'll get a W. Am I better off just getting a letter grade, even if I'm not getting credit, instead of getting a W?
I already submitted my AMCAS by the way.

Is it a zero credit class? I was required to take one, it won't count against you. Or did you choose to audit it?

Are you taking classes solely to make your transcript look good for AMCAS?

It's not a zero unit class, it's 4 units. I just didn't know it wouldn't get credit for it until well into the quarter because of a class I previously took that covered the same material. I took it as an elective to fill units so I can be full time.

It wont matter as you have already submitted to AMCAS. I personally would suggest you get the letter grade

Thank you. Would you know by any chance if AMCAS will include it in the GPA calculation?

I see. The way it is on the transcript, it shows 4 units next to the class, but just a note underneath that says no credit awarded. But I'll take your advice and get a letter grade. Thank you for your help.
