But the good news is that BoiseSt, TCU, and Utah are all highly ranked and the ACC and Big East aren't. Hopefully 2 non BCS teams will make it and the ACC/BigEast will remain weak, causing more BCS controversy so they can disband the poor system

For years, I've been in favor of a four-team playoff. You could do it within the current framework of BCS bowls and Championship Game.

Breaking down the conference-bowl alliances are by far the biggest sticking point in this, but if you can clear that hurdle, I think it would work great.

An 8 team playoff would be awesome. I think the financial powers that be would not let that happen though. I'm not sure how the pay-outs break down now but I'm sure the #8 ranked school would make more money playing in Corporation Bowl than they would playing and losing in round 1 of the NCAAf playoffs. We'd have to convince the venue cities, the schools, the networks, and the sponsors to drastically change something that already makes them a fortune. As a fan...4 weeks of college football playoffs would be awesome.

there's no way they'd allow two Big 12 south teams to play for the title.

see: georgia last year (left out of title consideration since they didn't play for the SEC championship) and michigan 2 years ago (possible rematch with tOSU after losing close game when they were 1-2 in the polls)

that would leave OU @ #1 bcs & texas @ #2 - because big10 & pac10 dont have a championship game
