There was discussion of an animal welfare specialty being up for consideration, but the most recent information I can find about this is on the internet is from 2010. Anyone hear anything about whether or not this is still developing?

there seem to be a lot of resources about it up to jan 2010, and then all the talk just stops. it had sounded to me like this was really going to emerge as a specialty, so i'm curious where it stands.
