  1. Pre-Dental
I overslept for my Spanish final. I went to the class and the professor (who is the nicest lady ever) had to reluctantly tell me that she couldn't let me take the final exam...but she showed me my final grade and I made a C.
So...I am applying to dental schools NEXT MONTH 🙄
I haven't had anything below a B since 3 years ago. Will adcoms actually care that I made this C in Spanish?

Nah I wouldn't worry about it too much. Besides, what can you do about it now?

Doubt it.

If there isn't anything that can be done then don't worry about it. Adcoms won't really care that much for one class. Try to see if your teacher can at least bump you up to a C+ or a B. Explain your situation. Who knows?

That's tough because if you have a C without the final you must have had a high A. Sorry dude, there doesn't seem like much you can do. I guess your professor could always make an exception for you and it can't hurt to ask.

If you have a good GPA otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much about it. At least it wasn't a science class.

no, many matriculating students have a couple C's

One C is nothing to ruin an application from what I've gathered from numerous conversations with current and future dental students. As per before, at least it's not a critical science class. Perhaps it wouldn't be a loss to ask your professor if she would be willing to grant you a bit of leeway with your final grade. Just don't come into that conversation expecting, but rather hoping. Best of luck with your application for the coming cycle!

Lol Spanish, if you did well in your science and other classes, who really gives a damn about Spanish.

I'm pretty sure if you did fine in every else the admissions will just laugh at it and completely forget that it even exists.

Everyone knows that spanish is required b/c one must be able to communicate to the teeth in spanish. How else are the teeth going to fix themselves?! lol
