I figured that if the space shuttle can still get into space, then I can probably actually take my DAT. 😀 I am so relieved and happy that it's over with. I have a 3.0 GPA and I think I got the scores I needed (I hope). It IS easier than the practice tests...

PAT: 20
TS: 23 😀 (hopefully that'll even out the sci. gpa)
AA: 21
Bio: Couldn't be happier, because there's so many things they can throw at you. My practice scores ranged from 17-21 with Kaplan, Top Score, and Dat Acheiver. It was pretty general, with a few specific questions. Know your development stuff...don't remember much besides that.
Chem: The calculations are very simple. Very few calcs are required, mostly they just show the calc. I had a few questions that required knowledge of periodic trends, Ksp, acid/base, etc. My practice scores ranged from 17-23 with Kaplan, Top Score, and Dat Acheiver.
OChem: Like everyone else has said very basic rxns. Lot of conceptual stuff about SN1, SN2, etc. Some carbonyl chemistry as well, nothing too horrible. My practice scores ranged from 17-23 with Kaplan, Top Score, and Dat Acheiver.
Reading: I only took two reading comp. tests...Kaplan=21 and Top Score=25. I'm a little surprised I only got a 20, but I lost focus because of the impending doom of the QR section. For those of you whose weakpoint is reading, I wouldn't look at my real score vs. the top score and freak...should've done better. However, it was harder than the practice tests, some 'what is the tone of passage questions' and 'what would the last sentence be'. Just like everyone else has said. My passages were magnesium and heart disease, cellular communication, and herbal medicine. I finished with about six minutes left...which I used to right down QR formulas.
QR: My achilles heel (even with an engineering degree)...I believe my PAT would've been higher if I wasn't struggling with the QR. But, I'm thoroughly happy with my score...I think I did well enough it shouldn't hurt me. Had some trig that were hard and some probability and combinations which I suck at. I wasn't as pressed for time as when I did Top Score, but I also had the discipline to say 'B' looks good and move on immediately when I didn't know how to solve something or when it was taking too long. I think that's most important for people that aren't good at QR. Look at how many you can get wrong and still get an 18...guess on the ones you're not sure of and make sure you have time to CORRECTLY solve what you know. Easier said than done...I know. 😉 Practice scores ranged from 14-21 with Kaplan, Top Score, and DAT Achiever.
PAT: I felt that the PAT wasn't too bad...I didn't do one of the Top Scores because of QR and hadn't looked at it for about a week...and I don't consider myself a natural at it. I used Kaplan, Top Score, and DAT Acheiver. DAT Acheiver is harder than every part except for the angles. Get it and use it. I thought that keyholes and pattern folding were easier than Barron's. Top-front-end wasn't bad either. The cubes are a bit harder, but not too bad...had to recount a couple. Pattern folding was a bit harder than Barron's. That brings us to angles...ahhh angles. Like I posted a little while ago, just guess quick and you'll have tons of time to solve problems that are, in fact, solvable. I had time left over and went back and double-checked the cubes. Practice scores ranged from 13-22 with Kaplan, Top Score, and DAT Achiever.
Well, I've been waiting to write this (long, boring) post for a long time...to everyone that's still studying: good luck, it's really not that hard, get sleep the night before (yeah right...) try to relax, and your hard work will pay off.
DAT Student: I saved the 30's for you man...I never had a chance, but you do... 😀
OK, my beer's getting warm... 😀
