West Virginia University's secondary application/interview

Does anyone have any information about West Virginia University ?
The last thread I saw was on Sep 28, 2006 and nothing on predents.com 2012 cycle.
Have you received the secondary application from them and paid $50 ?
I only got the application confirmation email in July from Dr. Shelia S. Price.

Hi there,

I also haven't heard back from them, except for the email confirming that they have received the application.
I have called them today and they told me that their database was down for a week and that they are really far behind with the review process. They told me that this year they will be reviewing apps till, probably, New Year and even may be in New Year, and that the class will not be finalized on Dec 1 as well.

So chill out, be patient. I don't think many people even received their secondary application.

Sorry, just saw your reply! I got my secondary on September 1st and an invitation to interview on the 7th of October. I'll be sure to post how the interview goes. Good luck!

I just saw your reply. Sorry for not answering earlier. I am WV resident. And actually I have just got an invitation for the interview on November 12.

Does anyone know what is the brief writing exercise at the beginning of the interview about?

I just had my interview on Friday. There are four writing prompts and you pick 2. They're not dental related. I don't remember exactly what they were but don't stress! Good luck!

The carving was kind of fun but I didn't like that it was before the actual interview because I got really into it and got wax all over my suit. I was interview by two professors, Mastalerz and Martin. Not sure if that name is spelled correctly! I definitely like WVU, I'm taking some pre-reqs here right now and have lived in Morgantown for a few years.

It's a wax carving of a tooth. It is NOT judged or graded. It is being included as a research tool to see if a wax carving will help predict success in ds.

Frank Masterlerz is a great guy and will def. do a good job of advocating for you if you impressed him. Don't know much about Chris Martin, those ortho guys tend to stay in their own little part of the building. Good Luck

Does getting a secondary application mean that you will get an interview?? I know that not all people get a secondary.
