Hello everyone,
my information was sent on the first of december to schools. Just heard back from west virginia for an interview (5 min ago). I was wondering if anyone knows what the percentage of acceptance is at wv, or any other school for that matter, if an interview is granted. Secondly, does anyone know how long it approx takes for notification of interview after secondaries are sent? thank you for your time.

Chances are about 50/50 once you get an interview.
Interview notification can go until April of 2005.

Wow! That was fast! I thought the primary would take 4-6 weeks before it even got to schools . . . then you would still need to send your secondary. How did you get things to cruise so fast? I'm curious because I just submitted my AACOMAS app Dec. 12. I figured I wouldn't even hear about secondaries until end of Jan or early Feb. Did you send your secondary to some schools before they even confirmed your AACOMAS app? I saw that one school (I think LECOM, but can't remember distinctly) had their secondary online and it looked like I could fill it out and send it right away. If this is the case I'm definitely going to do it. I appreciate you letting me know about your app process. Thanks.

My secondary was sent to schools on Dec. 1st. All of my materials for the primary were completed on October 22. So, it took about 38 days for processing. I'm guessing if you sent in primary on the 12th, expect mid to late january for information to be sent to schools.

Well that makes a little more sense! 😀 I knew it was too good to be true. Did you fill out any of your secondaries before the schools received your primary? I know some schools specifically tell you not to, so I won't to them, but like I said earlier, I think LECOM just said it's required of everyone and they had it online like you could feasibly do it now (before they receive your primary). Anyway, I don't know if anyone does that. I don't want to have it thrown away. I guess I could just call. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up. Good luck on your interview!

I can't imagine sending in a secondary without conformation of the primary being kosher. How would the school know how to file that? But, then again, all they care about is the money, so i'm sure if you give a check, they will figure it all out. WVU sends a secondary after the interview has been made. It is kind of their "first cutoff". Once again, i think it is bs and a ploy to rake in more cash. I"m crossing my fingers to hear from pcom philly (where i live), but i have no idea what past/previous students numbers are that have been accepted. You can, and should, prepare your secondary ahead of time but you should wait until it is requested to send it. When it is requested you should be able to send it the very next day.

US news will give you average MCAT and GPA for each school and numbers interviewed versus accepted. There is a small one-time fee.
