Hi GUYS , I had Interview in western on January and today I received letter of alternate , I have couple of questions , 1. what does exaly alternate means , does it mean I got accept to school and just need a seat ? 2. if this means acceptance can i call them now and say I want to start fall 2013 because I NEED TO TAKE 2 MORE COURSES and this way i would get in for sure on fall 2013 ? 😕
I would appreciate any help 🙂

1. Alternate means that you are not accepted - not yet. They are waiting to see if their first choices will decide to attend Western first, then they will let you know if any spots open up - could be as late as the first week of August.
*I interviewed in Feb, and if you read that packet they gave to everyone, there is an explanation in the first ten pages or so. Congrats, "Alternate" is better than "rejected" !
2. If they do accept you as late as August, you better be ready to get there, so take the classes now.

When was your interview? Did they email you or send you a letter in the mail?

It basically means that you are an alternate for this coming school year. You're acceptance will depend on how deep in the waitlist you are and how many people decide to give up their spots. .

I'm not sure what you're asking about the 2013 school year. I hope this helps.

I'm not sure. I think you're best bet is to call them on Monday and ask. I don't know if Western is like UOP in that a wait-list practically guarantees acceptance for the following cycle.

I n their catalog says the alternate status remains unchanged until an offer of acceptance is made by western " I am so Confuse now are we going be accept to school one day or they are not sure yet !!!!

No, It doesnt work that way you need to reapply again.
