A friend of mine who interview there last week told me that their dmd program is 4 years full time

4 years full time, meaning no summers off

uop finishes in 3 years, full time.

Anyone know if this is true about western?

UOP has a 3.5 week vacation in summers

I interviewed at WesternU on Friday. That is correct - no summers off. You have a couple of weeks or something like that, but no "summer vacation." Ahhhh, the sacrifices....

no summer vacation but eh... it's a worthwhile trade off if it's the only school that accepts you. 🙂 think of it as... more clinical practice.... cuz that's wat they have planned for the summers anyhow.

You don't seriously consider this school.

It's a brand new school. Looks they have amazing facility now.

And interprofessional education (IPE) is unique. (Some schools are saying "interdisciplinary approach" or "as an integral member of health care team, etc.)

They have PBL, but the participants are from all health profession divisions.

I would say they weigh much on the traditional curriculum yet.

Anway, what I really know about this school is it's really close from where I am now.

There, never worry about housings, foods, and entertainment. Above all, night entertainment is superior. VERY CLOSE FROM LA!
But, aloof from the criminal places in LA.

it's Just my opinion, though!
