I recently added Western to my list and the application was mailed on 11/5. I have not received the secondary yet. When I applied to other schools back in August, I got secondaries in less then a week for some schools. Hmmm I am kind of worried... Did you guys get the secondary in mail or via email?

I got it via email. I got my secondary early on with my interview invite though.

Secondary was via email, but I also got invited to an interview at the same time.

You are kidding right? There are a lot of things that they can't know about me from just primary. Hmm, I am pretty sure I've seen in medapplicants.com that they rejected people "postsecondary", which means that these people did not have interviews.

Western definitely does not send secondaries only with interview invites. I know of a few people who received their secondary long before getting an invite or of those who got rejected postsecondary.

anyway, I didn't hear from western for quite a while after my primary was mailed.

I whole heartedly agree. I'm astonished how people seem to receive acceptances from a primary application (WVSOM, MSUCOM). I just reason that they have really high scores and/or a very thorough application. 🙂

I somewhat agree with you. on one hand, of course they don't know you THAT well, but still, they know the main bits. I know NYCOM only sends secondaries with interview invites--they used to just have you fill it out when you got there, now they mail it to you. maybe i am wrong about western though, sorry for misinforming you, just that everyone i know received a secondary only if they got invited.

Yes I agree they do know the most imortant things as the GPA and MCAT, extracurricular activities and so on.
