Hey everybody, there seems to be a lack of threads/posts about Western University in Socal. Probably because it's still so new. But yeah, I wanted an update because I JUST got a phone call today for an interview this Saturday 2/5 but I'm from New Jersey so I have to fly out and arrange everything! (annoying and expensive and last minute!)
I really want to go but I am wondering if there is any reason why I shouldn't go (other than financial of course) or any encouragements to go check it out?
I've been accepted to NYU, waiting to hear the final result back from Tufts THIS WEEK so yeah I'm kind of all over the place. I thought I had no chance with any Cali school I just did it for kicks and because ideally I really did want to go to Cali but I had given the idea up a while ago and I was okay with that but now the opportunity is in front of me. Do I reach out and take it? It's just to check the school out so no big deal right?
What should I do?! I don't want any regrets or "what ifs" in my life! Lol
I am curious about student life outside of academics. It's in the middle of nowhere from what I hear, but it's still close enough to LA etc. right?
Where do the students live? Are there dorms available, apartments, studios near the school. Do you need to commute by bus, car, etc.?
Is it the worth the $500 6 hour flight + additional hotel costs for one night.
And which hotel is decent and closest to the school?
Sorry for the long post, and thanks for any replies!
