Hi Folks,
I applied to schools back in september-october and turned in secondaries by the end of December. I haven't heard anything from CCOM and PCOM. I think it's probably too late for interviews there.

I do have an interview at Western University-- a very late one (March 31st) (sigh). The secretary offered only 3 days for interviews and they were all during my exams.

What are my chances of getting into Western University with such a late interview??

Anyone's guess is as good as mine, but I thought some people might know how quickly they've filled their class for this fall.

Why should you worry about the chance of getting in ? Are you thinking not trying ? Do you have any choice? If you already got acceptance, then you can try to learn more about the school before deciding to go to the interview to save money. If you want to have some choices to pick between the schools, then nothing to lose. In this case, again, why should you worry about the chance ? Try your best, what will come will come.

Just letting you know about Western, I have heard that they interview through April and possibly a little bit in May (depending on need) so your date isn't that late. 😉

Hey,

I interviewed at Western in early Feb and they don't like to give out numbers etc but I loved the school. I got in but I decided to go to Touro in the Bay Area. For most schools (as they are now sort of running together in my head) they, the interviewers, can accept as many as they want early on or put you on an alternate list.

May 15th is the day when many students will have to give up all but one spots. Often, students with early interviews like Western for instance, will hold on to the best offer they get, like western while they hold out for their top choice. This is worth a thousand lost dollars considering the application expense and the cost of school etc.

So even if they aren't offering any more spots in April or May and only giving alternate spots...come May 15th spots will open up...gauranteed.

Also, it is generally so that if you interview at a school one year, especially late, you might be a first round draft pick the next year!

Trust me, you do have a shot even if it isn't as good as Feb.

Just my opinion,

January to May interviews I heard is where they get the majority of their class. Be glad you're interviewing later. I did that three years ago and I got in.

I'll be interviewing at COMP soon (for the NW track). I think they only accept 30 students for the NW track so I'm wondering if anybody knows how many seats are still available.

I recently interviewed at COMP and the admissions director said that they were getting full for the NW track (28/30) but they said they do put people on the waitlist and there can be movement. Hope that helps.

I just received a last-minute interview at Western for the same time frame and I called the office to learn more about the situation. They said that the class is only half-full, so no worries.

I interviewed at Western U/COMP in late April last year (something like the 22nd) and was accepted 1 week later -- I am now currently an MS1 there. Class size is roughly 215... 2010 is probably a lot more that only half full, but there will still be spaces available if you interview late. No worries...
