I'm applying to WesternU too and I was just talking to Karen in person, she said they started sending out interview offers past couple of weeks. Throughout the Facebook groups and SDN, I haven't heard of anyone getting them. I wonder if anyone, if you're reading this, did you get one?

I was just at WesternU for their preview day. According to them, they’ll start sending out invites around late December, early January. Karen may have been referring to Early Decision applicants?

Yeah I was there yesterday too. WesternU doesn't have early decision applications, if they did I would have done it. She said since 11/1 was deadline, they've started sending them out. I know other graduate programs have started interviewing but that's what Karen said to me. But the students I got to talk to said they didn't receive an interview til December. I'll be there next week because I only live 5 minutes away from it and I'll ask again.

Okay great, keep us in the loop please!
I was looking at the California DPT forums from last year and it seemed like most people got interview invites in December

I just got back from WesternU. Spoke to an admissions counselor and they have already started sending out interview offers. But he said not to worry about it, it really depends who handles your application and when we sent in our application. I know my secondary took longer than it should have because of a PTCAS error due to a double profile that I made with Western years ago 😳. So anyone that applied to WesternU can be getting interview offers anytime. All interviews will be held during January and February. Good luck everybody.

Thanks for the update! I got my committee review email on 10/10 so I hope something comes in soon. This waiting game is killing me

I had an interview offer sent out early October. They start interviewing in January though. My offer was sent out a few days after the committee review, so hopefully your interview offers come soon! Good luck!

Thank you for this update. I read somewhere that they tend to give interviews earlier based on stats? ie higher GPA but I'm not sure. So this gives me some relief.

I have an interview at RMUHP on 1/17 too! How do you feel, and how are you preparing?

Feeling nervous. I’ve been looking at other threads on here (other schools and past years) on what questions I might come across so I’ve been practicing mock interviews. Talked to the physical therapists at my job and they told me to relax/be myself since they’ve already seen our stats and they just want to get to know us better.

I interviewed and was accepted at Rocky Mountain in December and the interview is one on one and it truly was a conversation for me where they are interested in getting to know you and make sure you’re a good fit! They do ask some typical interview questions such as strengths and weaknesses but for me a lot of questions were based off my specific application and essay! They also play games as a group before the interview to try and relax everyone 🙂 hope that helps and good luck !!

Also still waiting to hear from CSUN one way or the other....

They already replied to me letting me know I didn't make the cut. So if you haven't heard yet, then thats probably a good sign as you're still in the running.

Thanks so much for the info... I'm guessing I might make the waitlist then. How long ago did you hear from them?
Have you gotten any good news from other programs you're interested in?

Out of curiousity, did anyone just get an interview invite from Sac State after getting a rejection email from them last month?

How was the interview at Pacific U? I have mine this weekend and I'm curious as to what the structure of the interview is, if there is a writing portion, and the types of questions they asked?

First of all, I loved their facilities and faculty! They have a great feel of everyone supporting each other and working hard to help in any way possible. The student ambassadors there had only good things to say.

The first event was an hour-long introduction to the program, curriculum and how the clinical experiences work. Then we split into groups. Some people went straight to their interview, some to a tour, and some to a student panel. I was in the group that did the tour and panel first, and the interview last. This was in some ways good (I knew a lot more about their program and could talk about what I liked), and in some ways it was bad (was already tired and less fresh-feeling). There was no writing portion (thankfully!). I was interviewed by two faculty who took turns asking questions. They informed us that every student was asked the same series of questions, to maintain inter-interviewer reliability. It felt pretty formal-- they asked a question, I answered, and then they moved on to the next one. I honestly don't remember all the questions. They did ask why I wanted to go to Pacific, and there was a question about talking about a conflict I had had. Another was about my goals for my career.

One thing to note is when I asked about what their ideal student looked like, they put an emphasis on the individual being flexible/adaptable, so maybe work that in if you talk about your strengths.

Thank you! This will be my second interview so I am not too nervous however, the first interview I had was pretty casual. Did they mention how long it would take for them to get back with their decisions? I hope you get some good news from them!

They will be making decisions the week after your interview day, so expect an answer in about 1.5 weeks or so from now. Good luck to you too!

Has anyone heard from Loma Linda yet? They said I would be hearing back towards the end of January. I'm getting anxious 🙁
