You wanna wander around just to get your head into trouble? Don't sweat it. Sky is the limit.

La Verne, Claremont, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga are some of the finest places that are close to the school, where you can live while you're a student at WesternU/COMP.

Honestly, I couldn't get your point in recommending to drive through some problematic areas of the city.

Oh, I lived in Claremont for 2 years, a 'nice' neighborhood in Pomona (the town houses on Indian Hill just south of the 10) and currently living in a 'nice' part of Colton (well... nice for Colton).

My point is that just because Pomona is in the US doesn't make it a nice place to live.

Now to the Midwest: Lots of DO schools, most in rural settings that you never would have thought to visit, much less live in.

I hate to split hairs and this is well beside the point but the whole midwest DO = rural thing is out of hand. It's like 50/50 between rural and medium-to-large US cities.

Rural:
OUHCOM
WVSOM
LMU
KYCOM
KCOM

Debatable:
MSUCOM
LECOM - Seton Hill

Not rural:
CCOM
KCUMB
OSUCOM (maybe not considered midwest)
DMU
LECOM
MUCOM
OUHCOM Columbus extension in a year
OUHCOM Cleveland extension in two years

I grew up in Colton 🙁

I miss my hood!

This person needs to learn to spell...but nonetheless I am aware of academic and security issues at Western U Pomona...but there are also similar issues at many other osteopathic and allopathic schools across the country.

JLWESTERN you still do not know the difference between prospective and perspective???? I have trouble paying attention to your messages when your grammar is faulty.
That said...I decided not to take a job at western Pomona for similar reasons to what you are posting.
