First of all, I want to say I am really really glad that I found this forum and only wished I had joined sooner.

So today was the day, the day I had been prepare for since June 2009, no April 2009, no really I do not want to lie I been thinking about this test since December 2008.

Anyway going by the tradition here at SDN, I will post my scores first

AA 19 (73.5%):xf:
TS 20 (84.0%)😎
OC 27 (98.2%)👍
GC 20 (79.4%)
BI 17 (48.2%)😏
RC 17 (25.7%):bang:
QR 16 (50.9%):annoyed:
PA 18 (63.7%):smack:

So, here are my thoughts on each of the sections/scores today.

AA, I think OC saved my AA scores.

TS, same as above.

OC, here I want to take a moment to thank my Organic professor Dr. H. He really helped me out by making me suffering though all of his tests, it really did help building my foundation. And the version I took today had very straight forward questions, not as scary as I though I would be.

GC, it has been 3 yrs since I took GC and I when I took it I did not learn much from the teacher. It was not the teacher's fault, it was mine. I was working like 30+ hours a week so when I finished the course I did not remember a thing. I watched all the GC review videos from course saver website and it was helpful.

BI, same as GC. For this section I like the quote the infamous word that most sdn users used allot to describe this section, random. From the start I knew this was going to be my weakest area and I honestly had spent about 60% of my total studing time just going over and over BI.

RC, I was hoping for more specific questions, instead of broader questions. Like the tone, true or false, true and false. Seriously each passage had like at least 15 paragraphs and I got so :scared:when the time is ticking down and I had not answer any questions.

QR, I think I failed this section bc of RC. Yes I like to blame the RC, the markers, the eraser, the boards and the freaking AC. (Air conditioner). Toward the end of the day, the sky started to rain. And the temperature drop likes crazy but the testing center still had the AC on high. NO, I should only blame myself instead bc I should of done better. 😳

PA, I had been using CDP and my lowest was 18 and my highest was 23. Obviously I was hoping to get a 23 on the real thing but I did not, oh well.

I e-sub my application on 7/2 and it was verified on 7/14 and should be mailing out tomorrow, 7/24.

My GPAs are sGPA 3.79 and cGPA 3.77.

Finally any inputs, thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i like to be the first one to say WOW, the reason for that is between the time i spend creating a new thread and the time i hit submit there was 4, DAT done threads already. WOW. SDN users are fast.

You have an average AA score and a decent TS score. But let's face it, that's because you did very well on you O-chem; otherwise, these scores would've been much lower. With majority of your individual scores being below 19 (specially considering your low PAT and RC scores) I would schedule a retake if I were you.
You have a great GPA, but your DAT scores aren't as impressive as that GPA, and that might hinder your chances during this cycle.

Good Luck👍

if i have to retake it again(GOD, PLEASE NO). how should i contact the schools and tell them that there will be a newer scores coming in later?

Don't freak out just yet. That was just my personal opinion. Wait for some more feedback from others.
I don't think contacting schools would be necessary. You can simply go to AADSAS and indicate the date of your future DAT in the DAT section of the application. But if you decide to inform schools, just visit their website, find the info for their admission coordinators and email them (I suggest emailing, because that way they can print out your email and include it with your file; whereas, if you simply call them they would have no physical record of your decision regarding retaking the exam).

19AA is not average for test takers only average for people who matriculate..

Combined with your gpa and your 19AA i wouldn't worry too much you will find a home somewhere.. 👍
