What are biochemistry, mcb + genetics like in med school? Do they go into more depth than undergrad?

or is the same exact material taught in the same way? i'm really hoping that they'll emphasize more of the applications in medicine instead of just making us memorize the latest laundry list of transcription, translation, and whatever else factors instead of emphasizing the applications and core key concepts, as this was one of the one things that I liked the least about undergrad genetics. Thoughts?

Less depth, more volume, more clinical correlates, much faster pace.

This.

Of course this depends on your biochem background entering med school, but I learned more Biochem (or learned it more thoroughly) in med school than I did in undergrad. And like Doctor Strange said, its more volume, clinical correlations, and a breakneck pace.

More memorizing of the details you didn't need to memorize in undergrad, less overall material though because who cares about photosynthesis and CAM plants from undergrad biochem.

I'm glad, I had way too much plant bio as an undegrad lol. c4, c3, cams, photosynthesis, light dark reactions, bleh.

My ugrad biochem class was absolutely insane. Med school made me memorize probably 1/10th of what undergrad did. Definitely not a typical experience tho hahaha.

I have the exact same feelings about biochem and genetics....
