I am part of the South East Asian race, sub group called Hmong. 1st generation born in the US. 3.61 cgpa, 3.57 sga, 1st mcat 16, 2nd mcat 23(5PS, 9V, 9BS). Underdog, I know. Graduated with magna cum lade and was on 6 out of 8 deans semester list at a great university. 500+ (volunteering at hospital, shadowing MDs and DOs, research intern, community service) 1000+ hours working in a pathology lab with pathologists. Have 2 letters from two DOs (one uses OMM, one didn't), 2 from science professors, and 1 letter from boss( MD). Only applying to DO schools because of their holistic approach. I have already submitted primary application for this cycle for fall 2014. I reside in NC, so part of the appalachian states. Definitely already applied to all the DO schools around NC area. What are my chances? Thank you.

That's a pretty nice verbal score for esl. Apply to newest schools and Good luck.

You should get in somewhere

The low MCATs will hurt, but I'll bet you still will get interviews.

Goro, I heard you have good insight. How much of an impact will the interviews play despite low MCAT? Can it be a deal breaker or is it just impossible with score as of right now. Thanks
