WHAT ARE MY CHANCES ! PLEASE

You didn't need to write the novella, a simple question would have sufficed.

Your GPAs are not competitive for MD schools, but are fine for DO.

Hey Everyone, so this is my situation:

I am a biology major and I initially went to a private university for my first three years of college and finished up 75 credits with a 2.9 gpa. I failed Gen Chem 1 twice and got a B the third time around, I must admit I never was good in General Chemistry. I was dealing with many personal issues with my family and was working 30+ hours a week during those three years. I have maintained a upward trajectory from the 2.5 -- 3.5 range as those three years went by. My first year and a half there was where my gpa wasnt too good but my last year and a half there i Maintained a 3.3-3.5 and my lowest grade was a B- with majority being A's. I finally transferred out due to the high tuition and the school itself, I didn't like the school because of the professors and the science department wasn't that good. I didn't feel like the tuition was quite worth the education at that school. I transferred close to home, to a City university which is ranked much higher than my previous university and will be in this school for my fourth and fifth year and it also gives me the chance to take care of my mom after personal issues with her health after medical malpractice when she had surgery and I also quit my job to focus on school and take care of my mom after working for the first 3 years of college. I took 12 credits over the summer in a month at my current university and came out with a 3.7. I then took 14 credits in the fall semester that just passed and pulled out with a 3.5 gpa, I am taking a 300 level ecology course and am expecting to get an A over the winter session. I am taking 17 credits in the spring and In the summer I will be taking 13-17 more credits. I am taking A fifth and final year and decided to do a history minor with my biology major. During my last year I anticipate taking around 15-16 credits in the fall and spring semester. For my last year and half I will be finishing up the last of my upper level bio courses such as anatomy and physiology, genetics, cell biology, winter ecology, microbiology, animal behavior, and biochemistry as well as the last of my history classes to fulfill my requirements for my history minor. I hope to Maintain a 3.7+ during the rest of my fourth year and my fifth year. I am currently studying for the MCAT and plan on taking the new MCAT 2015. I will be taking a Kaplan course and plan on taking the exam for the first time in the summer. I always enjoyed helping people since I was very young. I was in the boy scouts for 9 years and achieved very high ranks. I attended a high school that specialized in community service and I completed over 400 hours. I always enjoyed helping people and giving back to the community and always wanted to be a doctor since I could remember. I grew up witnessing my family go through many health problems and 3 out of 4 of my grandparents passed away within a year from living with health issues such as cancer, heart attack, Alzheimer's, strokes, diabetes, enlarged heart, high blood pressure and so on. So always wanted to be a doctor because since I was very young I was subjected to the world of medicine and illness with all these various illnesses my family would have and would deal with. I am one of four children and I have 15 aunts and uncles so I have hundreds of cousins and me and my brother are one of the first in any previous and current generation of both sides of my family who will graduate college and apply to graduate school. My dads highest education was junior high school and he immigrated to America from Palestine at the age of 14 and my moms highest education is high school and she got married really young. I went through tough patches in the beginning of my college career but I did my best to do well. I am apart of many clubs in college. I have been doing clinical research and many many research studies and an internship at a hospital for a year and a half now and will be continuing until I graduate. By the time I graduate next year I should have 1000+ hours of volunteering at an emergency room, 1000+ hours of research at an emergency room, 200+ hours of volunteering with my boy scout troop as an assistant scout master with the troop I was once apart of for 9 years. I should have 100+ hours of shadowing with a DO and MD as well as performing hundreds of hours of patient advocacy. I am apart of many clubs and organizations, and am a black belt in tae kwon do and was involved in intramural sports at my university. I am jump starting my research project at the hospital I perform research at and I hope to be completed and published by the time I graduate. I hope to graduate Magna Cum Laude at my current college. I have always wanted to be a doctor but have struggled a bit due to some personal situations I needed to overcome and some obstacles I faced in my life and during college. I did my best to correct my mistakes and tried my best to do well. I realize that its going to be tough for me to get into medical school but I am not going to give up give up on my journey. I am planning on primarily applying to DO schools and very little MD schools in the June 2016 cycle because I truly love the philosophy as well as the holistic view. I am a Palestinian muslim and the DO philosophy mirrors that of my own. As I finish my last year and a half at my university I am retaking all my science classes and non science classes that I received a C+ or lower in which is only like 4-5 classes. I have 5 Withdrawals on my transcript majority of which is from when I realized I was transferring schools, I dropped 3 classes because my current university was not going to accept them. I will have a committee letter from my current school as well as LORS from the professors of my previous school as well as an LOR from the doctors I shadowed, LOR from my Boy Scout master who has been my scout master for years, a LOR from the director of the research department at the Emergency room where I will have spent 3 and a half years and quite possibly the a LOR from the residency coordinator of that hospital. I just wanted to know the chances of me getting accepted at a DO school? I hope after all my class retakes and after I graduate next year with a Biology Major and a history Minor that my overall stats from all 5 years at both my colleges will be:
AACOMAS CALCULATED OSTEOPATHIC
CGPA-3.6-3.7
SGPA-3.6-3.7
MCAT- Taking it in summer of 2015- hope to do well on it.

AMCAS CALCULATED ALLOPATHIC
CGPA-3.2-3.3
SGPA-3.2-3.3
MCAT-Taking it in summer of 2015- hope to do well on it.

what are my chances of getting accepted to a Osteopathic med school and even a allopathic med school with these stats. I'm sorry for the such a long story. Thank you very much and all feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you.

1) Better kept in WAMC thread.

2) Please, for the love of God, use formatting. The reason you didn't get replies in the WAMC thread is because It's just a giant block of letters. Be concise. Get to your point.

Your GPA is a no-go for MD. You could do DO, but please, do not write your personal statement or secondaries in the same way you wrote this post. Formatting. Clarity.

Thanks for the replies. And sorry about the long post just wanted to make sure It would be easier for someone to provide an accurate response if they got more info about my situation. Thanks again and my personal statement will be nothing like this lol.

Nothing personal, and I apologize for being harsh. You did a much better job of editing. Good formatting, much better.

Like @Goro said, shoot for DO. unless you do a post-bacc or SMP and seriously raise the GPA. Even then, you'll have MAJOR explaining to do, and it's quite an uphill battle.
