What are the chances of an interview this late?

Ok for real, what are the chances of getting an interview this late if you've been complete since September/October? Does anyone know some schools that will actually do it? Or are they almost definitely waiting to reject us? There are like 9 schools that i have nothing but 'complete' from so far, so if anyone knows anything: Harvard, WUSt.L, Stanford, Baylor, UCLA, Emory, UVA, NYU, and Mt. Sinai.

It seems that a lot of people are also in the same boat at these and other schools. So seriously, does anyone know anything??

I just got an interview invite from Mt. Sinai, and I'd been complete there for a couple months. Also, Harvard's sending out interview invites through the first 3 wks in January, so you still have a chance there too. I don't know about the other schools, but good luck!=)

its still very early in the UCLA interview season, i think they just started recently...they go well into the spring so you still defenitely have a chance there..

im in the same boat..........the schools were i was complete in late october gave me 2 interviews but the schools that i was complete in september i have not heard a word from!!!! 😡

I still haven't heard from some schools (and i was complete in august). But a few of these schools have been sending out post-secondary rejection letters, so I guess there is still a chance of receiving an interview invite in January or February...

I knew at least one person last year who got interviews at UC Davis and Creighton in the spring (I think Feb/April), so hang in there.

I just received one today! And had been complete since mid-October. They're definitely still givin' 'em out, people!

I heard the NYC schools are running behind. I am with you in the same boat-I have not heard anything from NYC schools (Cornell, Columbia, Mt.Sinai or NYU), DC schools (GW, Georgetown) or Philadelphia schools (Drexel, Temple, UPenn, Thomas Jefferson) and I was complete at most end of October/early November. Harvard- I am not holding my breath on this one (although it would be nice) and Yale (I received a very nice e-mail saying that they are backlogged-- God, it would be wonderful if this worked out).

I have nothing but praise for the Chicago schools- they are so efficient and I have been so impressed with their administrative staff that if the faculty impresses me even half as much- I will go to one of them.

Does anyone expect to hear anything at this point until after the holidays?

congrats on upenn! I'd love to get an interview from them, sent an update letter and everything.

I am in the same boat as you guys. I was complete in early/mid October (except for Drexel, complete in late Nov, which HAD my LORs but didn't bother matching it with my app until I called them in late November!), and I'm still waiting on 17 schools (most of those listed above, including Emory and UVa) for ANY word. I called a few and they just said I'm still under review =P

I'm sending them update letters in January anyway. I'm happy enough with the interviews I've had so far.

UCLA didn't start so recently. They began interviewing in early October. But, I agree, there is still a shot at getting an interview there.
