What are the interviews like?

I was talking to a lady from usn yesterday and she told me that she's seen people with gpa's of 3.9 come there and then do terrible at the interview and not get accepted. How can you do terrible at an interview? What goes on at the interview? Do they just ask you questions or what? I don't understand you could do terrible at an interview.
