I had a phone interview with a hospital pharmacy and then I was scheduled for an in-person interview. During the in-person interview, the pharmacy director gave me a tour of the hospital and then asked me if I had any questions. That was it. Does anyone have any experience with this? What is the interviewer looking for in the possible candidates? Personality? Interest in the job?

they wanted to see if you were hawt. Sorry but I think you failed

This is for a pharmacist job by the way... I took a tour and then went into the office for questions.

its quite simple really. unlike chains who have formalized process of hiring which involves set questions for interviews, many hospital dop lack this structure. hence he just chit chats and gives u a tour while trying to size you up. thats all.

Thanks for your response. Do you know exactly what he would be looking for though? I think I asked some good questions.

If you're lucky, they'll get HR involved. Then you'll get asked asinine questions that make you want to stab yourself in the heart with a spork. After that, the pharmacy manager will stare at you for 5 seconds at a time with a soulless glare. You'll ask where in the hell is the DOP. They say it's been almost 2 years without one, and they don't really have plans to find one. You'll wonder how this hospital with nearly 800 beds can function with these automatons walking around. Someone will walk up to you suspiciously, and ask the pharmacy manager if you're there to inspect them. You then question your life. You then shake the manager's hand, and get another dead-eye, thousand yard stare as you walk out of the door.

HR can chew on my walnuts.
