Read a random article in one of those People/US Weekly/Entertainment magazines. I tend to remember odd tidbits of stuff, rather than actual useful knowledge : )
Proud Persian as well. Nice endinggg future doctors Arash & Ramona. I followed the whole discussion, who cares what others say, you do what u like & I think we Persians like to be among the wealthy & educated people b/c our life expectations are higher than other immigrants. But of course that's not every Persian. According to the U.S. government, among all other immigrants in the U.S. we have one the highest number of educated individuals.
About having the "highest number of educated individuals" stat, can u site that? I just find it a bit wierd because on all US gov. questioners, they actually fail to include a "persian" check box or option. They are normally, for some stupid reason supposed to check "White or Caucasian." Another thing, you mention the "highest number," are u sure u dont mean, possibly percentage, because "number" is a totally different ballgame.

Well Mr. Rambo you need to pay attention to what people write, yes I meant percentagewise u should be able to understand that and I didn't write "the highest" I wrote "one of the highest" (of is missing but if u read carefully you could catch that) so take a deep breath & relax. Also if U.S. questionaires put every nationality on the paper they'll run out of space. Persian is a nationality. The reason some choose White is bc we are not Arabs nor typical middle eastern (bc everyone in the map of middle east besides us and like 1 or 2 other countries are Arabs) so that's why we choose usually "the other."
Hope I was able to satisfy your sense of wonder!
