What are you putting for your extracurricular activities within the activities/accomplishments/recognition section of OTCAS? I feel like all of the other sections pretty much have my formal activities covered (volunteering, organizations, leadership, etc), so do you think they are looking for hobbies? Or just for additional activities that don't really fit under another category? I'm just curious what other people have done.... 🙂

Anything that sparks creativity is a +++ because therapists may need to be creative with some clients. And believe me sometimes you may help kids draw, help people regain coordination through a dance class, encourage a person with a disability to get involved with a new extracurricular etc. Therapists have their hands in everything. Dance, theater, art, whatever is definitely something you can put on your application.

I was kind of struggling with this myself. I have a full time job and I have a two year old so I don't have the generic extracurricular activites that most college students have (I'm just finishing up pre-req's on a part time basis). But the only thing that I do besides being with my family is I consistently do yoga....about 4 to 5 times a week. I'm not sure if that's good or bad but its my extracurricular activity and I've been doing it for two years....Don't really have time for much else after volunteering as well....hopefully it looks good!
