It's not AOA but it's a nice CV booster for the people I know who got it. Should help you in your future career prospects at least somewhat.

Trying to get a different perspective from other fields vs. psychiatry; also, different questions were asked.

It is a popularity contest to give out honors for those who cannot earn honors that are based on academics.

There was a lot of overlap between AOA and Gold Humanism back in my class. By no means mutually exclusive and not really comparable.

It was nice to have on the CV, but I’m not convinced it made much of a difference.
