What ART classes will help me with manual dexterity skills?

I want to take ceramics, but our undergraduate course catalog says that I might have to take Art Appreciation first. Anyway, what art classes would REALLY come in handy for me when I get to dental school? Would a Metals class be good too?

you dont HAVE to take an art class to build manual dexterity.

i build models and paint on my spare time. i also do a lot of other stuff to help me with manual dexterity, but they arent art related.

Caligraphy, drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture etc etc. All art classes will help you with proportional relationships too.
