I have finally decided to take the DAT exam
even though I have low GPA 3.2.

I should at least try my best before giving up.

To all the members please tell me which DAT book
should I study besdie my TEXT BOOK.

I have rented DAT Kaplan book from the local library.

little advice please.

There are quite a few posts that address your question. If I rememer correctly they have been asked in the last month or so. Just page down through the threads and you will find them.

Well Hardyman,

The answer depends on when you plan to take the DAT. But because the cycle has already started, you probably need to take the DAT relatively soon. But since you stated that you just started thinking about taking the DAT, it's going to be a lot of work from here to get your DAT score where you want it. And since the application cycle timeline is very, very important now, you need to start with just purely the basics...the Kaplan book. Understand its concepts very thoroughly. Also, get TopScore for computerized exam practice, Baron's for the PAT (I have never used Baron's but others here seem to like it). Work hard, very, very hard this summer. Don't take the exam until your prepared to get the score you're shooting for (or else face the consequences).

What HBomb said.

Kaplan's big blue book is basically the Bible of DAT study. Study it far more than your text books, especially if you're limited on time - it'll be much more productive for you.

Barron's for the PAT. Avoid it like the plague for all other sections - it's so full of errors that it'll probably do more damage than good.

Right here is your answer.

Dear Typo,

Is this the blue book you mentioned

If you have time take the DAT kaplan class, because of their DAT library. It is really helpful, otherwise, just get the blue Kaplan book. Forget about the text books, only use them as a reference. Make sure to know everything in the Kaplan book.
