What can I buy to put my suit in while flying?

A trifold carryon garment bag works pretty well:

You don't want to have to check your suit, if the airline messes up you are screwed.

I got a discounted suitcase that has a suiter inside of it. Haven't had to iron it yet. If you already have a suitcase, I think you could buy something separate to put it in.

Same as Dallenoff....I got a plastic suit bag from Target (located in the laundry/hampers/hangers etc aisle). I've just been keeping my suit in that and then folding it up carefully to fit inside the suitcase, putting the suit on top of everything else. The wrinkles have been minimal--if any--and to release any that do come about, I just let the suit hang in the bathroom while showering...the steam takes care of the rest. Hope this helps!

Hi, what do you guys use to carry your suit with you on airplane? Is there a small case to put your suit in?

I put it in the garment bag I got with my suit. Just ask the flight attendents and they will hang it up for you in the closet on the plane. The only exception is Southwest, where I put it in the overhead bin.

ooooooh.... a SUIT CASE!!!

Ziploc makes a giant 7' x 5' bag that I use. The blue line and the yellow line combine to make a green line.

Exactly what I did for mine........well add independence air to that list where you have to put it in overhead bin .... doesn't do any harm to suit ....

I did this experiment and it worked out-

I had it drycleaned and it was still in the slick plastic wrap. I folded it in thirds in the ubiquitous rolling carry-on suitcase that all the business travellers used. No wrinkles. On the way home, I did the same thing but without the bag, and it got wrinkled up like crazy.

i use a garbage bag

Sometimes I use a single folding garment bag, but I usually just wear it on the plane and act important 😀

SUIT! We have to wear a Suit? Oh man then put it in a garment bag.. there is a great one made by "TUMIS" but its kinda price ~90 bucks.

I'm very careful about how I pack/travel with my clothes after one of the bottles in my suitcase exploded all over my clothes once before and I had nothing to wear. So what I did, at Walmart in the laundry stuff aisle they make garment/suit bags that cost $.99 that are waterproof. I put my suit in that and then use a trifold suitcase that I carry on the plane b/c I would not check that (god knows what I would do if the airline lost my luggage). I also store all liquid and aerosols in waterproof bags (not Ziplocs) in my luggage as well. And I take my own travel steamer with me b/c I don't trust the irons they have at hotels (ie. rust). Ok, I'm anal but after that one experience you would be too.
