I will be a "senior," sort of. I still won't finish until the following fall.

Biochemistry
Cell & Molecular Biology
Microbiology
Microbiology Lab

I am hoping there is a lot of overlap in these subjects! I was considering adding another class as that's 13 credits, but I heard biochem is a major time sink. Right?

Edit: I am completing the organic series this summer. Is any of this stuff actually going to help in biochem? I mean organic is pretty cool, but I feel a lot of the subjects are so esoteric that I won't ever use them again.

Science and religion? wtf.

Here's a summary of the course if you're interested. Hopefully it'll offer a few relevant tools for tackling such an important, yet polarizing topic.

"The relationship between science and religion has been a long and complicated one. From a contemporary standpoint it is easy to believe that science and religion have always been in conflict. One need only consider the present conflict between those believing in the literal interpretation of the Biblical creation and the commitment of biologists to the theory of evolution. However at various points in the history of ideas, science and religion were not only seen as compatible, but engaged in much the same kind of endeavor, namely the search for values that were compatible with the true nature of the world. Scientific developments have often affected the nature of religion, and technology has been deployed to service religion in many cases. In this course we will investigate the relationship between science and religion by examining how theologians, philosophers, and scientists have argued but also worked together over time."

Come take it at my school! Lol. There's like no one enrolled in it here...

It's really awesome, too, because part of the class is volunteering at a clinic that serves mainly Spanish-speaking people.

You would think that living in New Mexico we would have that course. Nope. 🙁

If I get accepted this year I will find something this summer, somewhere.
