At the moment the only conference I'm planning on attending is the International Conference on Lightning and Static Electricity (www.icolse.org) in Paris next fall. I am not only attending, I'll probably be helping to present the results of some research I am involved with. OK, so it's just an excuse to go to Paris....
If anything close by sounds interesting I will go, but I haven't heard of anything worthwhile in the Midwest anytime soon.
But oooh, can't forget the Indiana Funeral Directors Association meeting next month!
I've been to Christian Medical & Dental Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and American Medical Student Association.
I would have gone to more if I didn't have exams during or right after them.
All of these conventions =
-Free food
-Free pharm. rep stuff
-Free alcohol (sometimes)
-Chance to network with physicians and medical students all over the nation
-Plenty of time to socialize
-Actually learn about new things going on in medicine (the actual purpose of the conference)
