What conferences do you attend?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Annual meetings of Orthopaedic Research Society, Society for Biomaterials, BMES and any other conference the department will cover expenses for.

At the moment the only conference I'm planning on attending is the International Conference on Lightning and Static Electricity (www.icolse.org) in Paris next fall. I am not only attending, I'll probably be helping to present the results of some research I am involved with. OK, so it's just an excuse to go to Paris....

If anything close by sounds interesting I will go, but I haven't heard of anything worthwhile in the Midwest anytime soon.

But oooh, can't forget the Indiana Funeral Directors Association meeting next month! :meanie:

Just curious to see what other people are attending! 🙂

I've been to Christian Medical & Dental Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and American Medical Student Association.

I would have gone to more if I didn't have exams during or right after them.

All of these conventions =
-Free food
-Free pharm. rep stuff
-Free alcohol (sometimes)
-Chance to network with physicians and medical students all over the nation
-Plenty of time to socialize
-Actually learn about new things going on in medicine (the actual purpose of the conference)

Georgia Conference of Emergency Physicians (GCEP)
GOMA
