( i have an older version, should i upgrade?)

Any other suggestions?

FA, MMRS and Rosenthal microbiology cards.

(Also wrote a consolidated DOC/alternate-DOC list based on MMRS, Lange and RR Micro books. This helped me more for COMLEX than USMLE.)

MMRS did NOT reflect what was on USMLE. It is a great book, but 95%-100% was in FA.

I think mechanism of virulence factors are highly represented.

thanks you guys!

I'm not planning on reading the MMRS religiously, but rather reading it once making good notes...i hope that will work

I have to give a shout-out to RapidReview Micro/Immuno book. It is awesome - I used it and found it to have everything I need, and be shorter than MMRS, AND have immunology in there, too (including all of those pesky interleukins). If you hate reading paragraphs, RR is the way to go.

If you learned micro pretty well in class, you could probably get away with just reading your weak areas in CMMRS. For me, though, I totally blew off micro in school (bad idea..) so I spent a few days reading CMMRS and it was a lifesaver. Also did FA.
