I have been waitlisted at both the schools that I interviewed at and am starting to finalize my plan for the next cycle. One of the decisions I have to make is to defer graduation.
I am currently in a Master's program and if I defer I have guaranteed income plus tuition coverage in exchange for being a teaching assistant but I would have to take at least 1 credit.
The other advice I have been told is to graduate and work in a dental office while applying next cycle. Problem with this is as far as I know there are no offices hiring and the income would be much lower compared to being a teaching assistant.
Should I defer or let graduation continue?
