My answering machine has been acting up and I did not know that untill today when someone told me. What do I do if schools had called me for interview and assumed they had left a message but I did not get it? Do schools also send out a letter of invitation? Please help!! I am not sure what to do! I cannot possibly call all schools and ask them if I was called or not??? That would be absurd....right?? 😕:scared:

Programs usually only send one type of invitation. Either they'll call, or they'll send a letter or an email. I had each of those types, but none of them made any second attempts.

Do you have caller ID? I don't think there's much you can do as far as calling programs (that would be slightly annoying). You could shoot off a short and sweet email to all of the programs, letting them know that your answering machine was broken, and that you've received some interview invitations, but are worried that you missed some others.

I would first look at the current Pedo Interview list and see if there are programs that you applied to that have already started sending invitations. That way you won't have to call up every school on your list since there are lots of programs who haven't yet sent out invites. Just be casual about it, ask about your current application status, no need to give them the whole story.

Good luck!

my voice-mail unknowingly went down (due to my cell carrier having network problems) and one day i literally had 20 voice mails dating back 4 weeks. three of them were from baylor trying to get in touch with me for an interview. i immediately called the program, apologized, and explained the circumstances. fortunately they had openings so it wasn't a problem. another program i was interested in took a while to send invites so i called them and mentioned i'd had technical problems with my cell and had missed other calls. the program said they were running behind schedule and hadn't contacted anyone yet, but i heard back from them about two days later. i don't think it's inappropriate to call, just don't call multiple times. if you call, ask their timelines for invites, etc., and always be courteous. i think one or so calls to a program in which you are interested would be kosher. hope that helps...

Thank you all for your advice. I called some programs...guess I wasn't called by them after all. 🙁 Some others have not started sending out invites yet. I do have caller ID. Now why din't I think of that??? Thanks again for everyone's replies. 🙂
