so just being 90, without evidence of severe systemic disease, i dont think you have to put in an art-line. most everyone gets type/crossed, essentially, you obviously need to keep up with your blood loss but there shouldnt be an urgent need for product so i would never have it in the room for these, unless its a three-peat revision. id do regional for most of these (except three-peat revisions, and some cemented revisions in less optimized patients) and i offered it to this patient, originally. we ended up electing to do general, just based on the fact that I didnt think she would be very comfortable lateral for 3 hours
