What do you know about LECOM?

I’m going trough the whole PharmCAS process. I am trying to decide which schools to designate, but I feel lost! 🙁

I saw that LECOM just opened a campus in FL, what do you know about this school? Is it good? Does it have good reputation among the pharmacy field?

Thanks for any help or info you can give me.

I visited the school, very nice it shares a campus with their DO school. As far as program tho there a new 4 year program VS there 3 year program in Erie. First class to start this Fall so there's not much info about the school it self.

It's a newer school that is an accelerated three year program where your summers are occupied by coursework. My impression after reading the Interview Feedback section on SDN is that they are a little disorganized in the admissions process, so submit early. The school now requires the PCAT, does a phone interview instead of an in-person one, and is on rolling admissions.

The accelerated program is only for the PA Lake Erie Campus not for the campus in FL. THE CAMPUS IN FL IS 4 YEARS!!! About the phone interview i was interviewed there and accepted to the FL campus. The phone interview was very relaxed and more like a conversation to get to know you type of thing.

The PA campus has a good reputation, I know someone currently in the program and it's an acc. program (3 years). I got accepted to the FL campus for this year's incoming class. I should be starting in less than 2 weeks but I'm having trouble with fin aid and Ive had some personal issues so I don't think I'm gonna be able to go 🙁...hopefully I can defer my seat for next years class bc I was really looking forward to start pharm school and meeting my new classmates. If ur still on the wl for LECOM-B for the 2007 semester, it might just be ur lucky day bc looks like 1 more seat is opening up.
