I thought this might be a fun way to talk about what subspecialties you all are interested in, although much of it is speculation...we all have our hopes!

What interests you in that particular subspecialty?

And for those of you who are already in fellowship programs, or are now attendings, what attracted you to your field?

I'm interested to know what each subspecialty has to offer other than the obvious differences in eye care.

Let's hear it! (c'mon...none of this "200 views, 2 replies" nonsense...let's communicate here!)

As for me, cornea/refractive surgery is attractive because of how happy my brother is doing lots of cataracts, corneal transplants, and LASIK. Retina interests me because the idea of using lots of lasers excites me...and oculoplastics interests me because c'mon now...doing surgery on the orbit is just too cool.
