I took a practice test made by the NBME, and most of the immuno questions were based on understanding rather than fact memorization. So, I was thinking of using "How the Immune System Works" instead of High-Yield. What do you think? I am very weak in immuno.

Of course, I'd be using the book along with FA.

There is more than one book with that title, so which one are you referring to?
author?

Solid book for concepts, nitty gritty details not so much. A very quick read and definitely lays a ground work. I'd recommend using the Lange book (micro + immuno, immuno is like 80p and takes about ~3 hours to read) and alot of subject specific questions from whatever qbank you need. I was weak in immuno and did this and it's one of my stronger subjects now. Will also help with basic path questions...plus they're introducing new immuno questions after may 15 so it's time well spent.

that's the concept book i'm talking about.

Was the thing about introducing new Immuno questions ever confirmed? I was always very interested if this was known (either officially or unofficially) as I had read one of the original threads on this a few months ago but never was able to find the thread again. Thanks in advance for your response.

I love this book. I do think you need to take some time to really read & digest the book. It's so well-written & easy-to-read, it would be quite easy to skim it over real fast without digesting it, so to speak.

If you have the time, I highly recommend it for gaining good understanding. I was same boat as you, and I'm doing pretty well on UWorld immuno Qs at least, after going through the boat.
