I am deciding whether to buy the Kaplan USMLE Step 1 review package (include the 7 lecture notes, not the live lectures). Can anyone who used this review service tell me really how good they are? I plan to use the review books in combination with FA and Goljan pathology. The alternative will be to save the money and just use FA with Goljan plus other review books like BRS, high yield. etc.

Any opinion is appreciated,

-TF.

i would also like to know. i believe he is talking about the lecture notes, not the home study kit.

the 2 people i know who used it scored 250+. but they were brilliant to begin with

I had a similar question. The kaplan lecture notes (8 books) stress that they are not to be used without the lectures. Anyone out there taken the course or watched the lectures with the books, is what they say true or are they just trying to get people to spend more money? I've looked through their "lecture notes" and they seem to be comprehensive enough without the lectures, i just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be missing any key elements. Any thoughts

thanks

can anyone speak for the kaplan black/teal books? are they sufficient to use alone or are additional review books necessary/helpful/have time for?
