what do you think my chances are?

I was hoping to get some input from everyone on what they think my chances are


My grades:
1st year: 2.6
2nd: 3.0
3rd: 2.9
4th: 3.9

I will be finishing up by bachelors of science degree this semester, and should have a gpa of >3.7 for this semester

My OAT Scores
TS: 380
AA: 370

My first year GPA is extremely horrible due to the fact that I failed English, if that F was not counted my GPA would have been 3.3 for that year

I am just extremely worried about the 1 'F' I received in English (i retook the class and got a C). I am just not very good at writing essays on novels and short stories (I got 400 on the OAT for the RC section)

Ever since I actually had direction in my life (e.g. Going to Optometry school) my grades have been on a sharp incline

So what is your current GPA and science GPA? I'd say if you're over a 3.0, you're probably okay, especially with the good OATs. And by the way, good work getting a 400 on the RC. I still can't figure out why that's so hard for so many.

Yea im not to sure why people find RC that difficult, the answers are all within the reading if you look hard enough, not much interpretation to them

if im not mistaken current GPA is like 3.05 or somthing close to that..and science GPA is around 3.1

again my current GPA would a decent amoutn higher if not for english

No worries. You're fine. Your OAT score is excellent and your GPA should be good enough (above 3.0 is normally good enough). Your F -> C isn't in a science course and you've shown that you're fully capable of reading science related text (i.e. your 400 in RC). If you really wanted to, you could take another science course or two (and do well in them) to push it up a lil bit if you're still not sure. but ya, grats on your great OAT 🙂 i only got like a 370 on the RC and somehow that was already 70 or 80th percentile i think... so most ppl are doing well in that section. Whereas a 360 in another section, i forget which, was 90 something percentile 😛 I'm not a fast reader so that kinda slowed me down in that section, but a few practice tests at least helped me better pace myself.

Yea I think your good to go. You have a incline in your academic gpa, which is always good. Just have a good reason to why you started off bad and you should be okay. If you got an F in english, than I think your 400 in RC should compensate for your english. Good luck man.
