Another one of those chances thread.

I need opinion whether I should add more school or not. Also if I have any chances of getting atleast an interview. I am currently applying to 3 schools. I'm applying to non-PCAT schools. My gpa is around 3.5. I have indirect pharm experience. I do have BS. degree with some MS. classes. I do have ECs, research experience n' volunteer experience as well. What do you guys think? thanks

You definitely have a chance. What do you mean by indirect pharm experience? Just make sure you get good letters of rec, write a good personal statement as well for PharmCAS and do well on supplementals.

Indirect---I worked as a general medical clerk and dental assistant. From my medical experience, I pull patients charts in regards to their prescription request, I also take notes from patients phone calls regarding their requests for refills and authorization from physician, I also receive phone calls from pharmacists for prior authorization and prescription verification etc etc. I find this an indirect pharmacy experience because for whatever pharmacists does its somewhat a partnership with physician as well.

That's good then, though it wouldn't hurt for you to try to get pharmacy experience. You may end up not liking it...it really depends on what you want. But your overall stats looks good and you should be a good candidate. As other SDNers have told me, just have confidence in yourself and believe that you are a worthy candidate for the pharmacy career.

Thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it 😀.
