anyone else bummed about cornell? during my visit, i could tell it wasn't the right place for me, but i'm still bummed 🙁 just so you know, you are not the only one...

Then chances are it's for the best. The point certainly isn't to accrue acceptance feathers in your cap, however a temporary blow to the ego it may be.

it's a good point, but i was just reaching out to other people that may be going thru the same thing.
 
Well, I actually really enjoyed my visit there, but strangely I'm not that bummed. I guess you have to go in knowing it's a bit of a "crapshoot"

I will be pretty down if I get outright rejected and not even waitlisted though. Heh. They said they are sending out letters to both rejectees and waitlistees when I called this morning. I guess we'll get those sometime next week, wahoo snail mail!
 
That's good to hear (the info about the snail mail to waitlistees and rejectees). It was annoying for me because I had not clue what was going on and I was interviewing at another school. Rejection from Cornell stings but I'm just gonna look forward to other schools.
