About to graduate soon (in Europe) but considering to postpone my graduation because everyone i've been talking to tells me that USCE is a MUST. So here is my question:

Besides step scores over 250, what else is needed? (what do you think is minimum requirements.)
  • Electives, for how long
  • Externship/observership
  • LOR
  • Prelim year
  • etc....
Any info is highly appreciated!

Have a great day!

I would try to do an elective at a spot where they have taken IMGs (non-US citizen IMGs) in the past. Then try to do awesome on the rotation.

Also, I am not so sure that a 250 is required as you stated above... It certainly helps your chances, but it isn't the end all be all.

Thank you for your reply!
Do you possibly know where I can find info about the IMG-friendly programs?

Thanks again and have a great day!

It's both tedious and quite easy. Go to every program and look at their current residents... other than that, I don't believe there is some database containing the information you are looking for.

Already started 🙂
Sorry if my question made me sound very lazy, I'm just a newbie 😀

Have a great day!
