What does it take to match into a top IM Program?

Basically the title, what are top IM programs interested in seeing in their applicants?

Not sure if I can match into one, but hopefully preparing for that will enable me to match somewhere at the end of the day. Thanks!

T20 med school, high STEP 2, pubs in IM

Take a look at the WAMC thread under the IM forum. Very eye-opening when I glanced at it a while back. AOA and Honors can be used to help differentiate yourself if you aren't in a T20 school, as mentioned above
