If One like for myself was going for their master's degree and master's degree only, which I am transferring to a four year university next year..how long does it take to get your license after your schooling and does one have to have outstanding grades and years of experience in the work field before being hired after your masters?

Thanks

Are you specifically referring to counseling psychology? I believe you can get your license relatively quickly after earning the master's degree. I think grades are more important for being admitted to a master's program, rather than being hired afterward. I read your other post and i can see you are concerned about having a job after earning the degree. It might be worth considering alternatives such as behavior analysis. Its not quite the same as counseling but alot of people who are counselors have a shared interest in behavior analysis work, in my experience. Behavior analysts at the master's level are high in demand and make decent money (someone correct me on this if i am wrong).
