Hey guys,
So I called my top schools today to follow-up on my application since it's been "complete" for a while. I figured if I haven't gotten an interview invite from them and we're so close to December, it must mean that I got rejected and they're waiting till December 3rd to tell me. But instead, they told me that my application is still under review, no final decision has been made, which is basically where I stood 2 months ago. Yet, there are many people who have applied much later and are getting interviews from those same schools (and some who have gotten rejections too). How come it's taking so long for them to look at my application? I don't understand what that means; if they have a "rolling basis" admissions, wouldn't my application already be looked at by now?
Has anyone from past cycles had this type of situation and got a post-December interview maybe? I was 9th batch and my application has been complete for over a couple of months now..
Thanks for the input 🙂
Also, here's a poll for you guys; I'd really like to know what people think of this:
So I applied to many schools, and I only got one interview as of now.. thankfully, it's at one of my favourite schools. However, I think if I improve one section of my DAT, I might possibly have a better chance at getting an interview from other schools too in case this one doesn't work out.. But if I retake the DAT, there's always the chance of doing worse for a reason or another, which means a risk of ruining my chances at the one favourite school that did give me a chance.. Would you retake or not?
