I need some suggestions as to what course I should choose for my elective. I'm in 2nd year biological science. I've already taken psychology and English in first year. I can't take physiology or anatomy until third year.
I'm currently taking:
Microbiology
Biochemistry
Statistics
another English as an arts credit for my program
An ecology course for my program =_=

I also want to get into Waterloo optometry if that helps.

I'm wondering if there are any beneficial electives to take - there's a lot of humanities/arts courses to choose from but I honestly don't have any interest in them 😳
I don't know if I should go for an "easy" course at my school or choose a science elective. As of right now, I think the workload for next semester will be pretty heavy.

I will be taking (next semester)"
Foundations in Molecular Biology and Genetics
Ethics
An evolution course that I need to take for my program
Organic chemistry

Thank you!

If you're interested in Waterloo, you should call them or check on their website and find our their prereq's or what electives they suggest you take.

I have checked their site. I just have to wait until next year to take physiology and anatomy and then I'll be done their prereqs. They don't post what suggested electives to take, only the prereq courses so that's why I'm posting on this forum. I just want to know what others took and if it helped them at all 🙂

Well I took a bunch of sociology courses but you said you weren't very interested in humanities. Science electives are always a good idea bc they will help your science gpa (assuming you do well). Maybe you should look into other schools you might be interested in besides Waterloo and see what they suggest.

I don't think it really matters too much. Just get more science towards yor degree. If definitely call the school also.

take something fun, something that you have a genuine interest in. as long as you have all the pre-reqs to get into school, taking something like photography or dance or whatever you're into shows that you're well rounded and displays what your interests are, what makes you unique. also, it's fun 🙂

I took language courses. I want to be able to communicate with patients and show that I can learn things other than the required courses for school.
